Does anyone know about the adaptive headlight module, where to find it in the engine bay or is it attached to the headlight?

I think I was told that the bumper needed to be removed or is there an easier way. We are tired of looking at the blinking light on the dash, headlight works fine other than it does not want to turn l or r. Oh and it is the passenger side and car is 2005 A6.
