Aftermarket Clutch, will this work? Opinions and technical help needed!!

Hey guys,
I just bought an 02 A6 2.7T MT6 in December. The car has 74k on the clock and needs a clutch badly. I want to upgrade to a LW flywheel and RS4 clutch. The thing is, I work at an audi dealership and can get all my parts at 10% over cost. The RS4 flywheel to the best of my knowledge that fits my car is a Euro model that never made it to the US. When I ask the guys in the parts department they say they cannot get these parts. However the US spec RS4 from 2007 they can get, as well as any S4 parts. Will the US spec RS4 clutch from the V8 6 speed fit on my 2.7T MT6? Also, is it a worthwhile upgrade to spend $398 on parts to go the 2002 S4 clutch route? Any help is appreciated!

For some back ground on this car, I plan to upgrade to a chip, down pipes, DTS, Short throw shifter, RS6 exhaust, and possibly a K04 conversion down the road. I would like to see 350-400 hp from the car in the next year or so. This clutch needs to be able to hold up to that sort of power, but still provide a daily driver type of feel as it is just that. I ride my motorcycle all summer long, but rainy days, and winter brings about the need for the quattro and a roof over my head. Any help you guys can offer is appreciated.

No help huh? Does anybody know the answers to this? I really want to know if the V8 RS4's clutch and plate will work in my car. I love that clutch.

No clue, bro. My bet is that the older S4 with the 2.7T are probably interchangeable but not the 4.2l.

As I just said in another posting, I went with the AWE stage 2 and lightweight clutch. They were a little pricey, but I don't want to have to replace them for a long time. AWE rates them to 450hp which more than handles my chipped 2.7T (@ 318hp) and should also handle K04s if I ever have to replace the turbos.
