Arrow Are all C5 clusters interchangable?

As the title states I just need to know if all C5 clusters can be swapped with each other. Iv seen a few different ones between the 98 and 00 so far. It looks lime the only differences are the clocks and odometer, but I need to know if they can be swapped before I buy one. Thanks in advance.

The problem is that you can't change the miles after a certain point. You can buy a new one from the dealer and because it has less than X,XXX miles (i think less than a thousand or something small) it will let you change the miles to how many your car has, but only once. After changing the miles you are not allowed to do it again. This means that if you have a used cluster the miles will not match what your car has.

Well Im not too worried about the odometer. I just need to use the junkyard one for a few days while I send my cluster out to have the lcd replaced. I just wasnt sure if the harness would match my car given the small differences in the clock and odometer placement.

Gotcha! Well I suppose for a temporary replacement it shouldn't be too bad. Just look for a late '98 or '99 and you should be good. Also, your car WILL run w/o the cluster if you don't have the immobilizer present, I know that my '99 does not have it and that means that I can run the car without the instrument cluster (I have personally done this so i know it's true - and i think you have the same car as me). You could technically just have a GPS for mph and cruise around like that for a while. It would feel really really weird but you could.

Well i have a 2000 now, but it doesnt have an immobilizer and the cluster im pulling is from a 98. I like your gps thought though, I might just send it over when I get a few days off from work and use the gps if I absolutley have to drive the car. The promised 2 day turn around if I pay for the overnight return shipping.

I used to have a gs300 and if you even start the car without the cluster intact you totally screw up the airbag system. Atleast now I know this doesnt apply to all vehicles.

Thanks.
