My 2.8L needs new suspension really bad. I saw this kit and was wondering if anyone on here has installed it and what your thoughts were about it.

I too am in need of new shocks on my '99 2.8l quattro. Did you order the BlauParts kit? Do you like the feel it gives your A6?

 

I am thinking of going with the Koni FSDs, which have received wonderful reviews.

 

Like it says on the webpage, it just won't fit aftermarket springs so I would keep that in mind.

 

I had purchased a complete blauparts factory sports shock/strut kit for my year 2000 audi TT quattro, as the original had been on 15 years or so. All was well for a couple of years until there was lots on banging coming from the rear passenger side travelling over the smallest bump/sleeping policemen etc. I never thought for one moment it was the shocker itself, thought at worst it would require helicoil and new upper bolt. When the mechanic took out the bottom bolt the shock absorber fell straight to the ground. the threaded upper portion stud had snapped inside the welded boss below the eyelet.
Needless to say Blauparts response was pathetic, they did not offer any money back just a store credit note for $189 dollars, no shipping costs or import duty. I bought the whole set from the states at the time because the cost including shipping and import duty worked out a lot cheaper than UK or Europe.
I will not purchase anything again from them so there credit note is useless.
