Appreciate the advice, but no built-in nav in my 2003. I like the separate GPS...I can pass my Garmin into the back seat for the kids to look for addresses and restaurants.

I had the chance to buy a built in nav for my 2005 Crossfire and passed. Since then I have read nothing but complaints about the built-in on that forum. As I say, my GPS moves between my A6 and two Crossfires, so it is a lot more cost effective than a built-in. Also, when I went to Slovakia last summer I purchased the Europe memory chip for a c-note and was able to use the GPS driving around Slovakia and Poland. I can even share the chip with my daughter and sister who have similar Garmins.

Yes, it would be nice not to have a cord from the cigar lighter to the lower windshield where I mount the GPS, but the above advantages outweigh that little inconvenience. Besides, no one cares about style points when I pass them at 80 mph. :-)

I think part of the problem might be that you own two Crossfires.

Question Will this work in my '07 3.2 A3 S-Line?

Does anyone know if this will work in my A3 3.2, S-Line? I would really like to update my map from what the roads around me were like in 2006---there've been several bypasses built since and I'm sick of being directed to defunct gas stations when reading "0 Miles" left on the tank! However, charging $225 adds insult to injury when it seems to me that Audi should provide updates considering what we all paid for this nav system in the first place (unless they don't expect us to keep our cars for that long...)!

I'd be happy to help defray your massive injury---I mean, "investment"---if it'll work in my car.

Most Nav updates are not worth the money. Most people want the latest street changes not hotels and gas stations. You can use your phone for that!
