Armrest Cupholder
 

I've searched the forums without luck for the armrest style cupholders. I've never seen one, apart from on e-Bay here:

Anyone know if this will fit in the armrest of the pre 2002 models?

Anyone know where else to get these from? Tried ECS and a couple of other sites, but no joy.

Yes, that will fit any armrest in C5 platform A6 (1998-2004). You can get one at the dealer, or any of the online Audi parts sources. Simple install, just two philips head screws that are turned 1/4 turn to engage "blades" that secure the cupholder in place.

My car had one in it when I bought it. I'm guessing it's the Audi one. It fits very securely and has no trouble holding a drink. The only issue is that it really seems to get in the way when it is being used. If I had a manual, there is no way I would ever be able to use that cup holder while driving.

Why, oh why, can't the Germans design a decentcup holder for a passenger sedan?

I had a set when I had my BMW and now I ordered one for my A6, because I liked it so much. It allows you to put your drink away from everything, and haveno clearance problem. I have to admit that these cup holders don't really work well if you have to pull your seat forward by much, though.
