Pass it on.

From Euro-Tuner.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!

CALL: 1-888-327-4236 AND SPEAK TO A CUSTOMER CARE REP.

**iF THEY GET ENOUGH PEOPLE TO CALL IN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM THEY HAVE TO MAKE IT A RECALL

this has already been recalled in Europe and with enough complaints they will have to do the same in the US also...

call them and give them you VIN and they have to report it to the National Highway Traffic safety Administration

...and thier website is nhtsa.gov

1998 A6 Quattro, 92,000 miles. I had two information displays, which I think are liquid crystal diodes (LCDs),fade out in Albuquerque. The dealer, from whom I bought the car, replaced both and I think the second one was out of warranty. I whined loudly and based on my history with the car the dealer was cooperative. At the time I thought it might bethe altitude (5-6000 feet). Since moving to Texas 4 years ago I have had no problems with my third dash cluster. There are some firms out there that offer to repair instrument clusters but I have not had the need to try any of them.

Interesting that you say that. My instrument cluster, like many others, fades in and out depending on the temperature outside. Usually when it's colder, less pixels are faded.

Well, along with most others mine is also really bad, so I'll call tomorrow and complain (it really can be dangerous, but more so frustrating), I've actually been trying to find a decent cluster from L&T.
P.S. Everyone should call regardless of whether yours is actually bad, because eventually there's a good chane it will fade.

I am on the phone with them as I type. She says its gonna take 20 mins. So is this a sfety coplaint we should be filing. . Actually I just got off the phone. If it is a safety issue, they need to know , when (date), how (WTFK) and what you are going to do to correct it. I personally dont think this is gonna fly fellas.
