Hi All this is my 1st ever post on AudiForums.com looking for your expertise.


I just bought an Audi A4 2003 1.9 TDI Sport, the fuel gauge wasn't working always showing empty tank even when full.


I checked step by step guides on how to open to replace it, so I gave it a go quite easy to undo electric cable & supply lines now when I try to remove the filter from the tank it doesn't come out I tried in angle ect... but no way it wants to come out.


The pump part number is 8E0919050D.


Btw I have tried removing fuse 15 cluster console & 28 fuel Pump to reset it but the only thing it did is, it is now coming up near the red line but its not moving from there, so each time I switch the engine on the gauge come up to the same level doesn't go down even after 40 min drive.
