Got the A6 2.0 TDI SE new............only 140 bhp though[&:].
Nice cruisin car but suffers from turbo lag.
I'm thinkin about the ECU upgrade taking it to 176bhp.......through Audi only costs £650 and warranty remains intact.........cool
The 2.7 has 180bhp and costs a lot more...........a good investment I think!
Anyone done this? If so, what have you done re modified insurance?

Man, I wish we had the TDI engines here in the U.S. (only some of the VW's with 1.9 TDI but no Audi's). 176 hp , but with what kind of torque after ECU upgrade? The TDI engine is very torquey and you'll probabaly feel more turbo lag after the ECU bump...

 

Hi DCM..........torque increases to 410nm so its all good there too.
I did my Saab 1.9 TID from 150 bhp to 175 and WOW........what a difference..........it totally took care of the turbo lag.
I checked the 2.7 TDI and they have 180bhp to start with............so basically for £650 I more or less have a 2.7 engine..........cool or what?
