Default audi a6 2001, start issues (whats this part pictured)

replaced the starter, no noise and EPC on, that problem semi solved. Starter works. there was a ground issue that was grounding at the part i have attached and i want to know what it is, to replace as i fried it with a shitty ground.

Chill man, no one ever comments on my posts either, people have lives and have to work. Just keep digging and you come to conclusions on your own.

BTW that isn't a sensor I have the 02 A6 4.2 and what you pictured looks exactly like the secondary air pump. Do 1 of those hoses go to the air intake? And the other goes around behind the engine connected behind the PCV valve? (not to it obviously just behind it.

Nonsense it may seem overwhelming at first but you could re-do your entire engine bay electrical harness yourself in less than a few hours.

The longest part is getting it all off and cleaned up with all that nasty old wire tape.

I'd recommend doing this every 10 years on any car tbh.
