Audi a6 (2002-C5) headlight switch and gearbox Q/P
Hey all. I'm new here, and this is my first post hooray
So I just bought an Audi (2002 A6 2.5TDi Multitronic) and got some questions for you guys.
1st:
when I turn my key to the point before crank and my headlight is on even if its at off position. I tried to disconnect the headlight switch, than no light. I teared down the switch and I found some black greasy gunk under 2 connection leg (under the 2 that closest to the front), cleaned it but still headlights on when the switch is at off position.
So is it a switch failure? The connector and the harness looks intact.
2nd:
the black sheep, the multitronic gearbox. I just noticed, when I push the gas pedal about halfway the car start shaking a bit about 1-3 sec and it's gone. I also find when I press the gas pedal almost to the floor the gearbox hesitating a bit and than boom full boost all good I'm getting pressed into the seat. I red some articles about this awesomely bad gearbox that cannot handle high torque and common failure is the old oil/forgotten oil change and clutch plates. You guys think if I flush the gearbox (2x drain) will solve the problem? Or should I start saving money to the refurbish?
(sorry for my English, not my native)
Thank you guys!
