Long story short...
central locking doesn't work, and ignition only brings on sidelights and mmi with climate control lights and functions.
This all started after draining battery and then trying to jump start it.
Seems like symptoms to me of bad control access module j518 - although i have read battery may need recoding?

Please someone help, pulling my hair out here!

I have read this but have also read it affected alot of the 05 cars, and some 06 cars.
Do you know how i can gain ignition power to access vagcom?

to get vag com initialization you have to bring positive to black wire with blue stripe
