AUDI OEM Lowering springs

Hi I was told by the parts guy at the Audi dealership that at one point they made OEM lowering springs, he said that they will not mess with my shocks and some other technical stuff that went over my head and that since they were OEM if they did cause a problem it would be covered under warranty. Does anyone know anything about these springs and if the guy is full of BS or not.

He did not have time to give me the part number but he said it costs 399.00 +tax canadian, so i guess that would now be like 395.00 american.

Thanks in advance for any advice

The Audi A6 2.7t / 4.2 have that set up. Compared to the 2.8 and the 3.0 A6, they sit lower.

Thanks for the info Envied, I thought I had told the parts guy, that I had an A6 2.7T,
When I bought the vehicle the only thing mentioned about the suspension was that it was supposed to be stiffer.

Sorry if I offended you cool stan, it was what we call a joke, not to get to political, but seeing our dollar rise and yours tank compared to the Euro and other foreign markets is not a good thing. We are our own biggest trading partners and a week US dollar hurts our economy as well.

I am glad you took the time to respond.

It should be some what stiffer but not really noticable. The stance on the 2.7 and the 4.2 is lower. The other models (2.8 & 3.0) sit high. If you ever come across another model in a parking lot, pull up and park next to it and you'll see what I mean. Your car should sit lower unless someone swapped the suspension out.
