alright I'm thinking of getting a new car and here are my choices:

audi a6 2.7t (before 2002 cuz I want a stick)
audi a4 1.8t (new body shape starting 2002)
mazda rx8

I know that mazda looks sporty and is really not comparable to the A6, but I love Audis and I love their interiors.

What do you think? it all depends on the price anyways but just getting opinions

 

Well... all 3 cars are great cars, you'll probably be happy with any one.
All are "sporty" in their own way with the A6 having the most room especially back seat. If you need an occasional back seat, for short distances then the turbo A4 would be lots of fun. If you don't need a back seat ( not for any one over 10yr old), then the RX8 would be loads of fun.

 

You can still get a stick in 02, in the A6 2.7T that is. Stone825 has one. The RX8 will get awfull fuel economy, were talling like 15 average. If your thinking sporty, look for the A4 though, possibly an ultrasport 1.8T if you can find one, they are cool. Great mpgs, can be made plenty quick, and still have Quattro!

 

My nephew had the RX8, he loved it when he first bought it, but found in snow and ice it was terrible. He's a cop and has to drive 25 miles each way to work, in the 6 months he had it, it was in the shop 4 times for various issues. He finally got rid of it for a Fusion.

 

RX8 to a Fusion...OMG that's like going from an A6 to a Tercel. A coworker has a Fusion, seems nice. We will see in a couple more years though.

 

the A6 will last longer and not have nearly as many problems as the A4 go with the A6

Yea I have the A6 2.7T 02 in a stick and I love it

 

id love to have mine be a stick, id keep me busy while i drive.
