During the winter it takes a long time to get her loosened up, and I am unimpressed with my cars performance during this summer... sure it doesn't take so long to warm up, but it overheats!! I try to avoid driving her in the midday heat, opting for the evening when it's cooler and in the early mornings... honestly!

My indy shop said it best... the A6 is a good car but she's a prima donna.. and needs alot of care - i couldn't agree with him more.

This forum is like a self help group for people who have A6 habits.

After reading these forums I had a remote starter/ turbo timer installed by a bunch of "professionals".. i got the compustar remote starter kit.. it is supposed to be the best with about a quarter mile of coverage. It's embarrassing to admit but... I paid nearly 1k with install because i wanted it done right by a reputable shop.

I think it was a waste, since it really f*&ks with the electrical components and the car does not behaves like stock. The only good thing is that unlike most other cars, for some reason my key fob is still operable... i still use it and keep the turbo timer on all the time.. i press the break to deactivate it when i shut the car off... and use the starter occasionally.

you put them on during heavy storms so people can see you easier... during storms i always see an A6 or two flying by with them on. the idea is that the A6 is so dope in bad weather that the only thing it has to worry about is other drivers.
