The backup camera system has stopped working on my 2007 A6.

When I select reverse there's one short beep with no other warning indication, and the screen does not change to a camera image but just stays where it is. The backup sensors still work and beep as they should when I get close to something, but the single beep when selecting reverse is new and coincides with the inop camera system.

I've made sure the trunk lid is closed and have tried rebooting the MMI, but the problem persists.

Any thoughts?
