I dont see a problem with that, just make sure you get a good car wash after, salt messes everything up.

Ground clearance will probably be a problem.

Is it a driving beach or a "kids dig in the sand" beach? Years ago I drove for miles on Daytona Beach in my TR6, just rolling along at idle in 4th gear, chatting up some girl I had met. (No - I did not close the deal.)

But a beach with soft sand is asking to get stuck. You may have AWD, but you don't have the tires for it.

I think you'd be better off entering ice drag races with it than running it in the sand.

I wouldn't suggest driving on the beach front even if you do have quattro. Once you find yourself on soft sand and wrong tires, you'll have a great time trying to get out. There should be no reason for you to be driving on the beach without the right equipment. Believe me it doesn't work, tried off roading last weekend and almost bottomed out my car due to the ride height and the dip on the trails. Also the car got so dusty, took 5 car washes to completely get the dust out of the door jams and the under body of the car. FYI, I had my winter tires on for this and I didn't get stuck.

i drove on the beach once in soft sand too and it was just fine, i wouldn't do it again tho, just because wet sand sticks, play in the snow it melts, and way more fun.
