Belkin FM transmitter

quick one: I have bought this 2 years ago
a belkin fm transmitter

unfortunately, I don't know if it's me, but the quality is crap. No matter which freq I use, I always hear a background noise or song or vocal or whatever.
Are there any tips to get that plugged in a way that I don't hear any interefences anymore?

FYI, I have a 2005 Audi A6 with the BOSE surround soundsystem.
And I'm using a CREATIVE VISION:M

My Belkin is at least 2 years old and I think it works great. A few times it'll get fuzzy or have a hum but I just change to the next station. 88.1 and 88.3 work awesome in my area. I use an iPod with mine and it works best if I turn up the volume on the iPod all the way. Try that.

I assume you don't have the cassette player huh? The one I had wasn't that clear either...but I live in the city so I assume there is a lot of interference. Now I use the cassette jack/adapter(sony) with the belkin (amp/power booster) charger for my ipod and its great!!!! So if you have a cassette player I would try that route. Or maybe check the batteries in the transmitter. Sorry wish I had better information for you.

Just get the OEM iPod adapter, it's sound quality is PERFECT!

See, the prob I think is also that I'm living in a city, Brussels to be precise, and there's a station on every single frequency here.

Isn't there any other way for example to disable the radio or the antenna...? I never listen to Radio anyway


and no, I can't use the cassette thing, I don't have that

I had the one you plug into your lighter, its better then the tape. It worked for awhile, but its still garbage, I'll never get another one. It dont get loud enough.

Food for thought, if you disable the antenna, how with the FM modulator work?

Get a real MP3 player [:@], @ the factory adapter, & all will be well.

I thought about it while writing it actually, and then i was like "oh anyway, let's see what they have to say ;) "

But perhaps the radio antenna is just too powerfull and that's theone giving interferences because it catches all the bloody freqs around and from far away. Whilst, and this is purely theoritical obviously, if the antenna is removed or disabled then maybe the Belkin antenna (which is the power cable!) will be enough to transport the MP3 player sound to the car audio system, without hearing anything else from the outside world.

I have a real MP3 player, I don't know what a fake MP34 player is to be honest. As for the adaptor, I'm not sure that exists for my car, try to stick somethign into that BOSE system.... good luck, and I mean it!
I'm not a specialist, and this has nothing to do with common radios.....
