best purchase i've ever made :. 2002 a6 2.7t
Growing up in the motorcity area your were raised with the big three ingrained in your head. My father worked at ford 30+ years First my sister bought a Volkswagon Jetta and now I've recently bought a lite silver 2002 A6 2.7t , 6 speed manual, loaded with 72,000 miles for $11,999 + taxes from a dealership. I looked at another dealer before we just came acrossed this one. Looked as if it had been in a few accidents. Salesman was a total douche to start out with... They wanted 12,999 for it. I laughed and went around the corner to another dealership in the area and they had the almost exact car but in mint condition marked down for Presidents day from $16,999. Needless to say best purchase ever. The car is in mint condition inside and out. My parents are jeoulous and love the thing. I've already started to add a few touches to it. I just had the windows tinted and I have MRR 18" GT-1 black wheels w/ polished lip on order. I just received the color matched rear lip spoiler from spoilerdepot.com and will put it on tomorrow if the weather is fair. Only bummer is I had to replace the rear brake pads already. I was sticker shocked and it was freezing out that day so I didn't go over everything as I should have. After I found the right tools and some great information at this forum I replaced the pads in 10 mins. each side. Over-all cost $49.99 for the pads thanks to my buddy at the auto parts place & I did all the labor. Audi just might have a customer for life...

You got that right! I've had my Audi A4for 3 years now and I love it, but I want an 03-04 A6 2.7T 6-speed for the extra room and power. This car has been the most fun and best car I've ever owned. I had a Lexus GS400 for 4 months then drove an A4 and sold it right away.

I worked at Visteon for three years, the last two driving my A6 from the Grand Rapids area to Dearborn once a week. Plus just about every weekend Sept-Apr for my kid's ice hockey. It's a great ride across I96 and I don't see too many Audi's in Motown. A lot of BMWs tho. The only problem I ever had was a pothole putting a hole in a tire on Greenfield.

I recently picked up a 1999 Audi A6 Avant, I love it. I had previously owned a 1994 Ford explorer limited, so i was used to having all the amenities of ford's "luxury" model, so I had to getsomething that was better... So I found the Audi. It was a local dealer, about 3 miles from my work so i would always stop in and see it, making it harder to ignore. The original sticker on it was 12,999 with 71k miles(my exploder had 145k and the tranny was going out and the engine was on creeping death..) I finally broke down and started making offers. We finally agreed on 12,500 and a grand for trade. We walked in the office and they had a Harmon Auto adon the table with the same car on add for 11,999, so i ended up taking that price and a grand for the exploder. after T&L, it came to 12239. I've never been happier in a car. Now I need opinion of what to do with it, I'm thinking exhaust or something performance oriented.
