I was wondering some of the best ways, if any, to increase horsepower in my '99 2.8 A6 Quattro

 

supercharger. Fulll exhaust

 

Put a HUGE single turbo You will rape haha

 

i put a performance air filter form K&n and it made a lot of diffrences love the engine when i step on the peddle
but a supercharger will do the job

i have a 2.8 yr 01 and there aint many aftermarket tune ups i envy the 2.7

 

auto or manual trans? if it's auto, there's a thread about a trans reprogram somewhere on this forum.

 

if it is auto you can get a tipchip which will speed up the shifting. IF manual I beleive clutch short shifter would do the same thing.

 

I really think your only options would be a turbo or super charger with an exhaust system. Other than that you could get APR Engine Snub Mount, APR Shift ****, APR Tuned Badge!

 

the tuned badges will add at least 100WHP lol

 

Does it make any difference if the transmission is tiptronic or not?
And what would be the best supercharger

 

tip vs 6 spd ... i dont know that the 2.8 came in a manual?? but yes its always something to worry abou t... I'm sure if you don't go crazy you will be fine as i have seen stage 3+ in 2.7s and the tip trans is fine

you would want to go with a smaller supercharger as your just trying to get a little power not blow the engine apart
