Bluetooth Problem
I have an 06 A6 with nav that I recently purchased and linked up with my cell phone (Samsung U410). The link works fine, except that after I am on the phone for 5 minutes or so, it looses the bluetooth connection and drops the call. The problem has nothing to do with the cell phone coverage, and I don't think it is the phone itself because the same thing is happening when I connect my wife's Motorola Razr phone.
I would appreciate any suggestions if you had a similar problem. |
You need an MMI software update. The original MMI software had several bluetooth issues.

Kevin -- thanks for the suggestion and I will take it to the dealer for a software upgrade (still under warranty so I assume there won't be a charge)
Btw -- sorry I jumped on you in the denison thread and I really was not attempting to hawk a product. Just new to audis and looking for info. |
I am having the exact same issue with my HTC Hero and '06 Audi A6. It drops Bluetooth connectivity every few minutes while on a call, but the phone stays on and connected to the caller. It syncs back up a minute or two later. Took it to the dealer, but they were unable to duplicate the problem so they did nothing. My Software version is 11.9.0 and they did not update it.
Any suggestions appreciated as I really need this feature to work. |
You need to update your MMI software to at least 33.6. The early MMI versions had bluetooth connectivity issues.
|
I have the 46 software and mine does the same thing. Rebooting my phone helps for a while but I usally have to do that a couple times a day.
|
I scheduled another appointment with the dealership for next week (car is still under factory warranty). It has been mentioned elsewhere on this board to not specifically request a software update, and I don't care if I get one as long as the problem is solved. I am curious, however, why they would not update it to begin with just to try the easy fix first. It probably took them longer to try and duplicate the problem then it would have to update the software. I "reboot" my phone every morning so that is probably not an issue.

After 2 days in the shop they said Version11.9 was up to date and there was nothing they could do as my phone (HTC Hero) is not on Audi's approved list.
Absolutely pathetic..... Soon to be MB2AUDI2MB |
Just pay the dealer to update the MMI software. I am running an HTC phone with MMI 33.6.
|
Question of payment does not arise as they are claiming no software update is available for my car and that the problem is my unsupported phone.
