This is least expected problem I tough I would get with the audi a6!!!. A month ago I discovered some bubbles, at the bottom of the door, just above the lower trim. I went immediatly to see the Audi service to know what do to and if the famous waranty would apply. They told me that unless the body is perforated Audi don't do anything !!!! Two days ago, the bubbles disapeared, the paint felt off and rust was now apearant. It seems also that more rusted spots are present at the bottom of the door. I do not know if the rust is coming from the inside but I am sure the external layer is rusted.

So it appear that Audi won't do anything unless the metal is perforated!!!

Who was saying Audi has the best warranty on the market on corrosion?????

 

Technically they do but i was curious how hard it would be to get it covered. It sounds like you have a real case and they still dont want to cover it. You may wind up having to make a few calls to corporate to get it covered.
