braking sound
I left my car for 1 month without using it with the electronic hand-brake on. I had to rev the engine to brake the seal and get the wheels turning after that. After this I really did notice a da da da da (very quick, no real gaps in the sound) sound when braking hard at high speed, at low speeds it almost not noticable.
I was told by audi this might have been becuase of what I did, but that the front disks were elliptical and so due to worn brake pads and front disks and all pads changed. It is still there, could it be anything else other than maybe the rear disks? The ones that were welded to the pads due to me.
cheers

The reason you had noise could be from the rust that builds up on the rotors while sitting. Did you take it for a good ride? Do that and brake hard see if it goes away. Does it vibrate?
You can not weld your pads to the rotor?
Elliptical? What does that have to do with anything?
You may have had a frozen caliper or the parking brake was stuck on/seized. Have someone who can actually explain what's going on to you look at it. You have been fed a load of B/S and it does not make any sense. These guys will do that. If you bring your car in for a specific problem and they do not repair that specific problem but instead go on a parts replacing spree YOU need to have a sit down with the service manager. That is completely unprofessional of a dealership. Didn't they test drive it?
Make the service manager test drive it with you.

If I never brake hard and at speeds around 70mph there is very little noise, but once I brake hard a couple times even braking at 50 mph keeps the same noise level as hard braking first time at 80mph.
Its almost like the heat from braking hard is making the brakes noiser.
