Seat problem COULD THIS BE EXPENCIVE?????
Hi Guys,
Wondering if this could be a problem and if so could it be expensive to fix. Recently I have noticed that when I brake hard the drivers seat will tip (not slide) forward slightly (in the plain of the plain of the adjustment that alters the angle of the whole seat (ie not just the back rest). I know there is meant to be some movement in the seat as you don't want a ridged seat in a crash but there is notiscably more play in the drivers than the passengers seat.
any ideas anyone?
Thanks
James

I am not sure it is the seat rails as the seat does not seem to move forward or back in a horizontal plain it is more like it is tipping in the way that a rocking chair does.
To my mind it seams to be play in the electronic mechanisms that moves the seat. I am guessing that over time it has become worn, I am guessing that replacing any of the seat base is not going to be an easy or inexpensive task.
