I'm a mazda guy, I've had three, but now that I've got a better job I've decided to blow some money on a nice german car. The test drove an '02 2.7T yesterday. Nice solid car, pretty quick. I've been looking at after market parts and such. I've had several turbo cars in the past. What changes did Audi make midway between the 98-01 and the 02-On A6 2.7T. They look identical to me. I'm only considering the 2.7T, I want to be able to modify it, and the 4.2 V8 is a bit more than I'd like to spend. I know they dumped the 2.8L in favor of the 3.0, but thats got nothing to do w/ the model I'm considering. Thanks.

Just yesterday, picked up my 2001 A6 2.7T Automatic in Cashmere Gray Pearl with 55,000 miles for $16800.00 Car is perfect and has everythign but Nav. Love it.

 

only chip for 2.7t gives you around 50+hp and 60+torge...thats like stock 4.2, 2.7t can manage to have 500+hp with correct turbo upgrade and tunning...go to Giac.com, awe.com, apr.com.....do the research.

 

You should totally buy the a6. I just recentley bought mine a couple months ago. I love the car, probably one of the nicest and fastest cars i have ever owned.Over all you should buy the car....

 

I have been considering the A6 2.7 as well. I found a 2003 in Dallas that I like. May have to trade the A4 in...

I've been looking at the mods too.. I would do a chip upgrade the day I get a A6... And intake.. Exhaust later.. Then S6 exterior...
