Default buying a new A6

for about a month now I have been looking, and it appears I found the car I am going to get it is an A6 3.0 2003. it has 45,000 miles and with the certified audi warranty it comes out to 23,000.

Anyways I feel that it could use some more power, and I would like to know a little more about the supercharger, ECU, filter and exhaust upgrade I could add to it. All these can be done to the car right? What do u think this package will cost? and what kind of permormance boost do u think I can get from it?

sorry to have my 1st post here to be full of questions, but I do hope to become a regular eventually

anyways, thanx for the advice in advance and i look forward to hearing from all of you.

Default RE: buying a new A6

Why not get a 2.7T? You'll get a lot better performance out of the gate, can still upgrade things if you want to tinker, and the mods will produce better returns for lest investment (i.e., supercharging -- your primary performance upgrade for a 3.0 -- is a pretty big investment).

You should be able to get one in your target price and mileage coming off of lease -- there are a ton of 02s out there if you can't find the exact one you want in an 03. If you find an 02 with the sport package, there are very few differences between it and an 03.

I tried both a 2.7 and a 3.0 before buying my ride. 2.7T is a LOT better ride IMHO.
