Default Is it possible to reset the outside temperature sensor?

After timing belt, thermostat and PS pump change, I also changed out the forward radiator cooling fan. When working on the fan, I might have unplugged, but then replugged, the outside temp sensor. When done, the external temp sensor showed about 60 to 70 degrees F low, e.g., actual 70F outside shows as 10F on the guages. At the same time, the A/C stopped working unless the outside temp guage showed about 38F or so. Won't come on when "Lo" is selected, either. They seem tied together, but could just be coincidence. The Bentley manual is no help on this.

Recap -

A/C works, but only when external temp sensor shows a temp of about 38F
External temp sensor works, but shows a temp that is about 65F less than actual

Sorry if this has been previously covered, but I couldn't find a reference to this problem.
