Car came with a rebuilt transmission when I bought it. Looking to do a fluid and filter change and just need to know if I have the zf5hp24 or the zf5hp19fla? Will it be stamped on the transmission anywhere? Have a hoist at work but hope I don't need to drop the tranny just to find out what it is? Any direction is greatly appreciated!

 

It should be on driverside. Towards top. I changed mine out a couple years ago so it slips my memory.

 

Thanks! Ill see if I can see it from the top or use a mirror from the bottom. Got the parts place to order both filters just in case. One was $35 and the other $95 with the $95 filter being the one for the more than likely zf5hp24a in there.

 

Oh now I see for the filter. If you've got vag I think you can pull that info.incase you don't find numbers. Good luck
