I have been reading up on this "facelift" or conversion to an a6, were the rear exhaust pipes come through the lower facia. i guess my first question is, is this an s6 or s4 bumper facia or some aftermarket body part available for purchase. If the conversion is done do i lose the rear park assist. is there other parts of the car that are part of the body mod? any experience or advise would be great.

 

i know the front bumper will not be a direct fit in the pre-face lifted a6 because the 02-04 have different hoods grill and headlight

the parktronic feature will work as long as the new bumper has the parktronic sensors

 

If you are talking about exposed exhaust tips for the rear bumper, it is easy to do. Just have tip welded onto your stock mufflers, and have cutouts done in your existing bumper valence. Very inexpensive to do this way. The only other way is to replace the entire rear bumper, since the valence is not a separate part.

Here is what I had done to my previous A6 (2001 2.7T). They are Magnaflow tips welded to the stock mufflers, Dremel cutouts to stock bumper lined with door edge trim (my car in background, but same done to car in foreground)...
