Can you change the intermittent sensor wipers to timed?

I have an '06 A6 and I think the worst thing about the car is the silly intermittent wipers. They don't really work...it is too sensitive. Is there a way to change the intermittent wiper from sensor to just timed? Can VAG-COM do this?
