can you retighten a spark plug after installing
ok guys,
I did my first spark plug, oil, oil filter and air filter change along with spray cleaning the maf sensor. The car seems to be running ok but for some reason i feel like i am not getting the exact same pick up i had prior to all this.
I don't want to say the pickup feels like a v6 but (maybe like a v7 - lol).
I cant check codes cause i don't have a vag com cable yet but i'm hoping their isn't any misfiring going on, or low compression due to under tightening.
my question is, can i just go in, unscrew,, and re-tighten the plugs, and see if that helps?

sure take them out and put them in just don't strip the holes!, I would check the terminal connections to your coils. Pinch the female pins so they fit tight and apply di-electric grease then re-plug them. I also dab a screwdriver tip worth of di-electric on the top of the spark plugs.
It's common for the coils to misfire after touching them because the terminals are not tight. Happened to me a couple times.
