Default car acting strange during acceleration

this morning when i was accelerating on the high way, my RPMs were jumping all around. A little bit of gas and it would jump up or down quite a bit and it was rough. It went away, but i'm concerned. any idea?

I'm changing mine out this weekend...i have about 108k miles on it but so far it's not exhibiting any symptoms like you just mentioned. That's another reason why I want to go ahead and get it done...before the wife ends up getting stranded someplace....yikes.
