Cool Car chuggs but will not start

Through the last few weeks the car would not start on the first attempt. With the second attempt and a few seconds of chugging, the car finally starts. Now the car still chuggs full power but doesnt start. The fuel pump fuse is okay. I don't know where the fuel pump relay is located and how to check it out. Is it a coincidence or maybe something was on its way out, like the fuel pump or something else? Does it matter that I am now using the car in a location with a cold climate/ high altitude? Thank you in advance.

Do you know if the fuel filter has ever been replaced? Commonly overlooked as part of the maintenance, a clogged fuel filter will strain the fuel pump and eventually wear it out.

I am guessing that if you live in the states that the engine then must be the 2.8. Am I right or do you have a different engine? Has the fuel filter ever been replaced? Have you checked the power of the battery? Has the ignition ever been repalced?
