Car Fire Aftermath

so i was driving my 2000 A6 4.2 v8, smoke started coming out of the vents, so i roll down the windows and pull over, jump out and start dialing 911. a police officer drove by when i was on the phone with 911 and managed to put the fire out with a dry chemical fire extinguisher.

i have full coverage on the car, my adjuster with his initial estimate just wants to replace the dash pad, vents and any burnt wiring and deorderize the interior.

my concern is the dry chemical dust is everywhere, should i insist on the windshield, radio, climate control, steering column switches, all window switches and the carpet and headliner be replaced? i dont want problems down the road from the dry chemical screwing with the contacts in the switches, or a smoke oder in the car when the deoderizer wears off.

Absolutely, that shit is everywhere, in my opinion I'd almost hope it was totaled so I'd get a new car but I would deff ask for all dash options because you know its all up in the cracks and in the wire harnesses
