I have a 2001 A6 4.2 nonsport. The oem wheels are 16x8 (et 35)and come with 235/55. I would like to up size to 17s and want something that is lighter than stock but does not require spacers. I like some of the 17 inch bbs wheel and some are only 17 lbs.. I saw that the offsets are around 35, will these clear calipers without spacers. Anyone with experience with a 4.2. Also what are the sport 17 inch wheels, how much do they weigh.

excessively heavy, i will definitely go higher quality aftermarket, nice looking but maybe ssr should have made them.

 

Been shopping myself.. looking at all sorts of styles and things... I am going more for looks than performance though. Think in the end I will go with the S4's 6 spoke rims. I know a guy who has a set for sale. $700 CND for 4. Seems like a good deal.


Question: Will the S4's rims fit on the A6. Is the offset correct? They are the 17" rims.
