Default CEL confusions!

So, I cant seem to get rid of this damn CEL, thinking it may be a cat. Has to get inspected this month !!

Now, I know the lower cats don't matter, they are out of the system. So it would be a upper cat. Which, BTW, is not listed/shown in either my CD manual or the book! WTH?? Soo, how screwed am I on this one?? Is there any way to get these from an aftermarket source? High flows?

The info: The rear 02 sensors are mounted in the fromt of the "big" cats. Not after. The cats it measures off of are right after the manifolds. The 02 sensor that is coding is the one we just replaced(bank 1 sensor 2, or right rear), ordered from ECS, and installed.
Codes are P1105, P1114, and P1606. Last one is 100% new, and its a rough road sensor!? Havent looked into it yet. P1114 was there before we replaced the sensor, P1105 is new. Something to do with a short to positive on that same sensor!

Thanks for any help/suggestions!

This is what the codes ar for --

P1105 Oxygen Sensor Heating Circuit,Bank1-Sensor2 Short to B+

P1114 Bank1-Sensor2 Internal Resistant too High

P1606 Rough Road Spec Engine Torque ABS-ECU Electrical Malfunction

Questions - Did you read them with VAGCom?
Did you clear the codes and see what returned?

The first two sound like a sensor failure.
It would be helpful if you told us what vehicle your driving. Motor, year etc.

Yeah, I guess that could help...
2001 A6 2.8 Quattro.

read with a friends VAGCOM, and also an autozone scanner.
We just replaced that sensor! Thats why Im confused with it.
Cleared the engine codes, came back. Now, every once in a while, it goes out by itself. then comes back on a couple key cycles later.

Also have the flashing ABS BRAKE lights, that the rough road sensor??

I'll run the 1606 thru Bentley when I get home tonight... I have the C4 tech manual so it might not be the same as your C5.

I usually like to do a little testing before spending money... maybe check connections, see what Audi/Bently says to look at, etc.

O yeah, I wont be fixing that issue for a while anyways. ABS is just a convienience thing, I dont really need it. We are waiting on our own VAGCOM set up so once we get it, I will do some searching. Plus, when I switch wheels, Il check all the sensors.

It is an intermitant problem, sometimes the lights will be off for a while!

I got home late last night, had two beers and fell asleep. I'll try to see what the manual says this weekend.
