Changed my bearings- now more noise

I recently changed my bearings on my 2003 A6 2.7. I was having some wheel noise which sounded like bearings to me. ( I have replaced bearings on my truck before with success.) I used the Blauparts bolt-on bearings and they went in well.

Now, my car is twice as noisy and getting progressively worse (I think).

These bearings looked sealed and pre-lubricated. So I did not add any grease.

Anybody have any ideas before I put her up on the jackstands...?

CV joints ?

I have had CV joints go before on a Nissan.....because the boot cracked. Dirt got in there and you really heard it on the corners......a ticking and eventually crunching noise.

This is more like a loud hummmm. Kind of like winter tire noise or a truck with 34" knobbies on it.

yeah that hum is certainly a bearing noice symptom .. my CV joints like your started clicking .. but it is really the only other rotational mass outboard of the case. could you have a dragging caliper or something ? .. it really can only be so many thing s

Bearings and tire noise can sound similar if you have really noisy tires. They both make a roaring noise. You might try rotating the tires and see if the noise changes any at all. If it does, it's the tires. With bearings, if bad they should wiggle if you rasie the car and wiggle the wheels.
