Check Engine Light & ABS Light and Flashing Brake Light
 

Well I have 2 things to discuss...1) my check engine light comes on and, 2) my ABS light comes on and then the Brake light comes on and flashes.

I have a 2000 A6 2.7T with 60K and my check engine light comes on....I had it in the shop and they said it is due to a O2 sensor probably. I am not experiencing any performance problems at all and I have a computer to turn the light off if it comes on, and will usually come on every 3 days or so after resetting it. Audi recommends replacing them at 60K miles. Does anyone know how many and where they are located and if they do how hard are they to replace?

My second issue is about the ABS light and my flashing brake light. These lights come on at the same time when they come on. The lights are not continually on either. Sometimes it comes on right away when I start the car, other times it comes on after driving for a while, other times it comes on and then off right away. I haven’t noticed any problems with braking. Does anyone know what the heck is wrong and if so, how much would it cost to fix probably?

There are 4 O2 sensors so you need to be more specific

There is no recommended replacement interval for the sensors FYI

You could have a bad ABS module causing the light to come on
