chirping issue

Hey everyone,

I just purchased a 2002 2.7T and there is an odd chirping noise coming from the front rims. Not sure if it is one or both. I got new brakes put on and the noise is stil there. Any ideas what could be making the chirping noise? The noise only occurs when i am not braking, when i btrake, the noise goes away. I have heard it may be a warped disk?? Make any sense? Any ideas? Thanks for the input...

When they/you did the brakes did you just replace the pads? Sounds like you need to take it back apart and go have your rotors turned. The slightest MM in difference will cause squealing, chirping, excess rubbing etc. Eventually, you will start to feel the front end wobble because the rotors are warped.

Thanks for the info. Any idea how much $$ 4 new rotors should cost? Where to purchase?

I'm having the same problem, I recently changed all pads and rear rotors and had my front rotors resurfaced. I was having this chirping issue before I did all this and still do.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Make sure the backing plate isnt hitting the rotor.
