Default Clock adjustment on cluster

stupid question, but really irritating to say the least. Someone told me there are buttons under the dash or something, took a look and didnt see anything so any advice would be sweet

The buttons on my car (2003) are within the instrument panel itself. Do you have the digital or analog clock?

If you have an analog clock, then you pull then left **** and turn it left or right.

There are two stalks in the cluster. Pull out the left one and turn left or right to adjust. Each time you pull and release, it goes from hh, to mm, to the date. The right stalk is for the odometer and probably some other functions I avoid.

Not sure what model you have, but I have an '05 A6 (C6) with MMI. To set the time you press "Car" then "Setup". On the screen it will say something like "no more settings" but the top left button is now showing "Time". Press the matching button by the "big ****" and you can set the time, date and date format.

Had to do this yesterday for DST change. Shame it doesn't pull the time from the GPS...
