Condensation in the headlight

I have been fighting this for about 6 months in my passenger side only.

I recently removed the yellow from my headlights last weekend. Even prior, I would always get moisture in my passenger headlight.........so

when I removed my headlights and removed the yellow, I cleaned the seam that the clear lens fits into, resealed it with a very good silicone adhesive.

Well....we just got a couple days of rain and guess what.......drivers side perfect......passenger side has moisture.

Is there anything I can do, or do I have to break down and buy a new one?

I appreciate your help!

OOOO

RE: Condensation in the headlight

I'll bet you have Xenon headlights. Because of the high heat these lights generate, they are vented. As such, moisture can get in there under certain environmental conditions (have you had a lot of fog lately?). The cure is to just run your headlights a bit. The heat from them being on should clear out the moisture. If the problem is really persistent, it may mean that some of the seals that keep out most of the water have gone bad.

Here's an article on the topic to reassure you and point you to some possible remedies: click

Good luck.
