Considering buying A6 2.7T, whats fuel economy like?
Hello all of you who have A6's,
I would like to know from an actual owner of a 2.7T and a 2.8 as well, the actual fuel economy that your car gives you (automatic tranny)
2000,2001 model years
i would like to have either L/100km or MPG (specify imperial or us) and also if possible how much do km or mi do you do with a full tank of gas (let me know tank capacity as well)
I would appreciate it very much and it will help me make my decision
Thank you
P.S didnt find anything in the search

01 2.8 Quattro, Remus cat back, darintake. I average about 20 MPG with a lead foot and 95% stop and go. Highway trips are always at least 24 MPG, and I have seen as high as 29s on an easy trip. on a combined trip, it is in the 21-23 range.
A 2.7T will be similar. About the same on a highway trip, but less in stop and go. Especially if you have a lead foot. I have heard people say 15.5 MPG in the city with a 2.7T.
Depending on my fuel economy, I get between 250-400 mi on a tank. That is 18 gallon according to Audi.

I've got the 4.2 and it tends to be 18-20 round town, 24-26 on the highway, with good quality fuel, properly inflated tires, and traction control off. Depends significantly on your right foot and the fun factor, though.

o4 2.7 & Im w/ Bob. Im getting about 22 @7o ( about 2.5 hour trip 2x a week ) and when I have to back it down to 55 - 6o, it goes to about 24.
In town sucks, but its due directly to the way that I drive.
