Contemplating used Audi A6 purchase

Hello al, I am currently considering purchasing a 2002 Audi a6, Avant(wagon) with a 3.0 liter V6. The car looks in great shape and apparently has been dealer serviced regularly. The car has 140,000 miles and has what seems to be the only issue with the car is, the ABS ligh is on. The car recently had new front contol arms installed. I am not usually scared away by smaller repair issue's but any information that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, tdimayo

ABS module can be rebuilt for around 300 nowadays with shipping included.

The 3.0 avants IIRC are all quattros so that's good. But in-case i'm wrong, avoid the FWD at all costs.

The 3.0s are harder to work on than the other engines as well. Engine wise.

If it has been dealer serviced, I would ask them about the ABS light. ABS units can be rebuilt by ModuleMasters and the car can be driven with it out. Make sure the timing belt was done in the 80-90k mile range.
