Coolant Fans not working w/o AC on.. Im back and have a question!
Sorry I've been away for so long.. lotta stuff getting in the way..
Ok.. just kinda figured out that my cooling fans are not coming on w/o the AC being on too. I did check out everything electrical even though they work most of the time, but thorough is as thorough does. While the AC is on, they work in High and Low speeds, so both relays are working. The coolant temp gauge is working as well.. So, that leaves the Radiator Fan Switch / Auxiliary Fan Switch / Coolant Temp Switch that is located on the lower driver's side of the radiator as the culprit, correct? I'm gonna pull the connector and jumper it tomorrow, but a little reassurance I'm thinking straight is always nice
Thanks guys!
Oh, I found this out right after having the heater coil pop and drench the drivers foot well..

On my car, the secondary electric cooling fan normally does not come on unless the AC is on, as you describe it. I think the primary fan clutch/assembly does all the work.
Sorry to hear about the heater coil...

Now I know. I always and still do want a URS6. That is another story.
Thanks for looking at my toy. She is a flatty and keeps on running. Although can't go over 60 mph not too shabby for a 60 year old girl.
