Default Cooling Mapping Sensor or MAF sensor issues

Hey guys...

Here is my problem....Sunday I get into the car after a night of good driving and the CE light comes on. Car runs pretty bad....in 5th gear doing 60mph I am at 3K rpms...crazy right. So I get the car checked on the computer at EPG here in Atlanta. The codes come back saying that I am having problems with the cooling mapping sensor or to check coolant temp sensor and/or thermostat. Apparently that sensor ($5 part I was told) can casue the car to loose all boost...or most of its boost and shorten my RPMS?

Is this a hard peice to change?

Also, does anyone know of some really good mechanics here in the Atlanta Area? EPG guys are great but they are super busy and I wanted to get this looked into sooner than later.

Thanks Guys

by the way I have a 02 A6 2.7T
