my 2000 Audi A6 2.7T is having a wierd day. I changed the oil the same way I have done many of times before. i replaced my air filter too. My father cranked the car to clear out some old oil, I do not know if this has caused any problems but just mentioning it incase it had.

I checked mostly all harnesses including the problematic one on the air box. I noticed te on the coolant tank the harness on the bottom had no wires connected to it =( Is there a way this could be my problem? Is there a way to connect these just to check for the time being if it will start?

 

I haven't a clue about the wire but I changed my oil the other day and replaced the air filter. I started the car and about three miles later it began to buck and acted as if there was no power. The CEL came on. I limped home and just as I turned into the drive it started running OK. Vagcom said it was an O2 sensor/vacuum leak. I cleared the codes and it ran great today (100 miles) so I guess it didn't like all the clean air from the filter change... PS the old filter was very dirty..

 

my filter was almost gone and unusable. MY CEL is always on so I have to check it when I get a reader

 

Go back to the ones on top of the air box. Did you put them back EXACTLY as you found them? Remove and reseat them. Try again. Swap connectors around and try again.

just did that and still no sucess, I pulled the coil packs and no spark either
