Default Credit Card / Coins TRAY

Hello,

for some reason the credit card / coins tray does not go all the way in so I can not have it fully closed.

Any solution to this pls...

Its an Audi A6 2000 2.8 Quattro

If there is a step by step procedure how to remove it and see what is stuck in there would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Mario.

same thing happened to mine...coins were stuck back there. i just pulled it out and reassembled. it's nothing special, you gotta pry into the plastic to push back some tabs back and the thing slides out. search around first to get the location because it is pretty fragile. i can't seem to find it right now

Its a definite PITA. The "clips" that hold it in are on the top corners. You have to push them down from the top and the one on the left side is darn near inaccessible. Don't pull too hard on the tray or it will "explode" (cut my chin, don't ask). When you pull the trim piece you are most definitely going to break a few of the clips. Mine is holding fine with three, one on each side and one in the middle.

I saw a write up somewhere. Check audidiy.com

I got mine out pretty much like Beau describe. I had to remember from then on that it's not a coin tray, it's a card holder. The coins will almost always bounce out and get stuck behind the tray. Good luck

The coin/card tray is held in by the same mechanism that holds the radio in. To remove it properly you need i think two of the audi/vw radio removal tools (like this) to insert into the slots above the tray. Then it just pops right out easy peasy. I've done this personally so i know it works *shrug*
