Default This damn thing has so many prblms! Now its the brake

This is the worst car i've ever had in my life and i've had 2 Dodge's and 2 Honda's which were a B and B+ in reliability..... This A6 gets a D-. And at only 52,000 miles.

Now its the damn BRAKE light screeching annoyingly in my ear everytime I take a right turn, and that damn P symbol lights everytime since it got stuck leaving me to tow it at 47,000 miles. POS.

Is the ear-piercing BRAKE light beep due to low fluid? If so, what kind of fluid can i dump in this thing? Its an 05 A6 3.2 quattro. Thanks

I had the same issue on mine but my a6 2002 4.2 did that around 90k miles. Brake fluid level was dangerously low. Mine requires Dot4 brake fluid. Should resolve your issues if you don't have any broken lines / leaks

When you locate the reservoir the required dot number should be written all over the cap

Yes. FYI, if indeed the fluid is low, then it is probably pointing to warn brake pads. Unless you have a leak, the fluid does not go anywhere.

Any DOT 4 will work.
