Dealer says 2007 A6 S Line better buy than new S6
I just got back from the dealer where I drove a 2007 A6 with S-Line package and all the bells and whistles. I originally went there looking to lease the new S6 and was told it wasn't worth the extra money.
Thoughts?
Also - anybody know if the S-Line A6 has the same or slightly higher suspension than the S6?
Thanks!

Yeah - I was blown away especially because the salesperson and the sales manager were downselling me. I figured they must know something I'm missing. They went on about some issue with the sunroof in the S6 so that if you get the warm weather package you can't actually see through the moonroof - this I also find to be bizarre and questionable in terms of accuracy.
The A6 4.2 is an exceptional car. I do like the more aggressive styling of the S6 even when compared against the S-Line package though.

ROTFLMFAO!
That salesperson must not really understand the true benefits of an "S" car. Of course, a fully-loaded 4.2 S-line is a great car, but it wil not have the V-10 engine, the S6 suspension, nor the S6 wheels, brakes, etc. I doubt anyone would compare a B7 A4 S-line to an S4, right?
Yes, the solar sunroof sucks...one of that main reasons I had to find a 4.2 without the warm weather package, and then retrofit the car for the rear sunshades (manual door shades and power rear sunshade).

Boston - thanks. That's what I was thinking as well.
Let me ask you - if I pass on the solar sunroof in an S6 will I end up with a typical sunroof/moonroof combo? I don't live in a real hot area and could survive without the interior cooling from the solar sunroof, but it would be a bummer to lose the moonroof altogther.

Ok... let me tell u what the dealer is trying to do? They must have and old stocker A6 that they wont to sell and dont wont to order a S6 and wait 3 months to get some money off u!
Anyway 4.2L V8 vs 5.2L V10?
If u can get into the S6 dont hesitate.
