I have a 2002 Audi A6 3.0

Occassionally the doors will not unlock via the unlock button...i dont know if this is some kind of safety feauture....because this only happened twice....and most of the times everythin works fine...thnx for the replies

 

When the button fails to work try using the one on the passenger side. I suspect you have a bad switch.

 

i tried but it still dosent work.......i also try to press the lock and unlock repeatedly and after a while it stops workin......then comes back on after a while.....is this normal ?

 

I have serious electrical issues with my 02 a6 quattro. I will be driving along and all the sudden the interior lights turn on! When this happens the lock/unlock bottons on all doors fail to operate, funny huh? I hate this car. 2nd one and the first one was a demon as well.

 

I get the same thing sometimes, a door wont open from the outside but will open from the inside just fine...

 

keep an eye on the dash lights when this happens if they all come on and you feel a lose of power steering functions it could be you have an over voltage problem, bad ground or alternator
